Kitchen Design | ESPRESSO DESIGN

The kitchen is the most important part of the house which shows your ethics and taste, So you have to plan your kitchen very, cautiously. In fact, the stylish kitchen can change the look of your house. The proper planning of the kitchen can save you from the after headaches. The proper space for cabinets and equipment gives it an open and bright look. You should be careful about the heating system and ventilation. So when you are estimating the ideal size of your kitchen you should keep an eye on these points also. There is a different kind of kitchens, according to the shape and dimension of the Kitchen Interiors requirements. In other words, you need to have a figure for what dimension of the kitchen is ideal for you and then give that input to architect or designers, you have appointed for your kitchen.

The ideal size of a kitchen and fitting

  1. L shaped kitchen
  2.  U Shaped kitchen
  3.  C + I shaped kitchen
  4.  Island kitchen

L shaped kitchen
L shaped kitchen shape worked mostly in small-sized kitchens. You could go for L shaped kitchen where the L part of it is facing the living room or dining area and can be used for chopping vegetables, rolling chapatis etc. You will need to decide where to place the sink and it should be placed such that it does not interfere with this chopping area so that it remains dry. That in-between the slabs you need sufficient space for 2 people to operate. Cooking sometimes can be a joint exercise in the family. Try not to make the aisle space very small.
U-Shaped kitchen:
If you are looking for kitchen diner ideas, a U-shaped design is well worth considering. Depending on your space, it may be easy to incorporate a table and chairs at the opposite end of the U shape. Consider matching tabletop and worktops for a tailored look. The U shaped kitchen has more potential storage and appliance space because it is more work in the large spaces.U-shaped kitchen will have a window at the ‘U’ end. This makes a great spot for the sink, allowing you to look out over your garden while you wash up without having wall units overhead.
The design concept of the ‘golden triangle’ is a natural fit with a U shape: when designing your space, keep your fridge, cooker and/or hob and sink between 120cm and 270 cm away from each other. This will make for a practical, time-efficient and safe use of your space.

C + I shaped kitchen

The portion of the kitchen slab facing the dining or living can be made alive breakfast counter. This is normally with a bar chair or stool towards the dining side and is used as quick dining. You can have breakfast as fresh chapatis etc are served then and there. It's a modern convenience and does consider it if you like the concept. It certainly adds to the look of the house and kitchen in particular. If you want a C+I shaped kitchen you may need 8 feet on either side to make it spacious.
Island Kitchen
Island kitchen can fill all the five functions like storage, prep, cooking, serving, and washing up. Before you design anything, however, you need to decide which role your island will fill. This will have an effect on the width and depth of your island, especially if you need room for major appliances. you have a lot of room for a wide island, you can have multiple kitchen stations installed in it – for example, a stove and a sink. Most people want to incorporate seating on the island too, although that’s not always a great fit with a cooktop if you have a more formal space. If you’re going to install a cooktop on your island, don’t forget you’ll need a range hood above it. Otherwise, your home will smell like those fried onions forever. If you don’t want a range hood hanging down into the middle of the space, put the sink on your island instead. If you’re interested in making your island a cleaning station with a sink, don’t forget the dishwasher should be included too. You may have a nice-sized kitchen now, but if your island is too large your kitchen will feel cramped.
Now after this, we can discuss the style and colour of the Kitchen Design.  In a smaller space with a central window, it may pay to stick to a largely white scheme. Modern hi-gloss units will help to keep light levels up as will glazed tiles and stainless-steel surfaces. Larger kitchens may be more able to handle deep colour, dark wood finishes and even hits of the pattern.
These guidelines will help you, to build your new kitchen but if you want to renovate a new kitchen or buy ready-made houses and apartments. These days, you can break the walls to change the dimension of it but it becomes, costly. So think and well planned before building a kitchen.
